SCIOPTA Systems has ported the safety certified SCIOPTA Real-Time Operating Systems to the Freescale i.MX6 processors.
The SCIOPTA i.MX6 RTOS is specifically tuned for the Freescale i.MX6 processors. This results in a very high performance and a low memory footprint.
SCIOPTA i.MX6 is certified according to IEC61508 SIL3, EN 50128 SIL3/4 and ISO 26262 ASIL D.
Beside the fast Real-Time Kernel there is IPS (Internet Protocols, TCP/IP), IPS Applications (Web Server, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, Telnet, TFTP etc.), SFATFS (FAT File System), SFFS (Flash File Systems), USB support, embedded GUI graphics support and the DRUID System Level Debugger available.
SCIOPTA is royalty free and supports actually the C/C++ compilers and environments from GNU GCC and IAR Systems Embedded Workbench.
Freescale i.MX 6 Series
The i.MX 6 series unleashes the industry’s first truly scalable multicore platform that includes single-, dual- and quad-core families based on the ARM Cortex-A9 architecture. Together with a robust ecosystem, the i.MX 6 series provides the ideal platform to develop a portfolio of end devices based on a single hardware design.
The i.MX 6 Series consists of six scalable families:
- The i.MX 6Quad family encompasses a quad-core platform running up to 1.2 GHz with 1 MB of L2 cache, and 64-bit DDR3 or 2-channel, 32-bit LPDDR2 support.
- The i.MX 6Dual family provides dual cores running up to 1.2 GHz with 1 MB of L2 cache, and 64-bit DDR3 or 2-channel, 32-bit LPDDR2 support.
- The i.MX 6DualLite family introduces dual cores running up to 1.0 GHz with 512 KB of L2 cache, and 64-bit DDR3 or 2-channel, 32-bit LPDDR2 support.
- The i.MX 6Solo family provides a single core running up to 1.0 GHz with 512 KB of L2 cache and 32-bit DDR3/LPDDR2 support.
- The i.MX 6SoloX family introduces single cores running up to 1.0 GHz (Cortex-A9) and 200 MHz (Cortex-M4) with 256 KB of L2 cache and 32-bit DDR3/LPDDR2 support.
- The i.MX 6SoloLite family provides a single core running up to 1.0 GHz with 256 KB of L2 cache and 32-bit DDR3/LPDDR2 support.
